Farm-to-Table Restaurant - Event Location - Local Food Shop - Educational Farm

Conacul Grigorescu is a farm-to-table restaurant, local food shop and rural accommodation estate at Strada Bisericii 76, Rătești village, Berca commune, Buzău County, Romania — at one of the entrance gates to the Buzău Land UNESCO Global Geopark, 110 km from Bucharest (about 1 hour 15 minutes by car via the A7). The estate is built around a restored 1930s manor house. The Farm-to-Table Restaurant serves lunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 18:00 with prior online reservation (Wednesday to Friday for groups by reservation), using seasonal menus from local Slow Food producers. The Local Food Shop and tastings are open Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 18:00. Accommodation (available from 1 May 2026) consists of three self-contained units: Pool Apartment (41 m²), Minifarm Apartment (45 m²) and Grandmother’s House / Casa Bunicii (30 m² plus a 10 m² attic), bed and breakfast from 105 to 130 EUR per night, with an outdoor pool (May to September), garden and free Wi-Fi; pets welcome for a fee. Conacul Grigorescu is a founding member and head office of the Slow Food Community Buzău Land and hosts wine tastings, Slow Food culinary workshops, cooking classes, a kids’ food lab and guided geopark tours.
